Setting Reference

Sometime between 1996 and 1998 I played in a campaign that was set in a world modeled after Feist's setting for his novel Magician. I played a mage, using a house-modified version of AD&D 2e, who took an elemental dedication and an animal totem as I understand mages in Feist's world do. I have not read Feist's novels, however, and it is not my intent to replicate any part of his setting that is not detailed in Jonril or The Sunken Lands. I do intend to be faithful to those sources, however.

Languages

The first piece of setting information I needed for this exercise was a list of languages to determine the character's native tongue. I found this list of languages in the sources: Common, Demi-Humani, Dragon, Dwarvish, Elven, Giant, Keshian, King's Tongue, LaMutian, Natalese,Tongue of Evil, Quegan, Yabonese, and references to "language of the savages of the Sunken Lands" and "more obscure dialects of the Sunken Land
tribes."
